Ultra chic and ultra rare 1950’s LANVIN dress with the Jeanne Lanvin/Castillo label.
To me this is as special as a vintage Chanel!
Incredible “shaggy” fabric. A very rare and unique fabric for the era. I’m guessing the fibers to be mohair, but I’m not entirely sure. I do think they are natural and not synthetic. The main body of the dress is lightweight wool and the sleeves are black satin. The fibers catch the light and glint beautifully.
The satin on one sleeve is stressed.
Overall in very good condition.
