The house comes with a light/cord and the anywhere lighting. You just have to switch out the adapter and use 4 AA batteries - not included. If you have a mini screw driver it is super simple, I have done it a few times now. Since you don't have an extra fuse with this item, the light/cord works fine.
There are no trees with the set.
The stockings are made of felt and are so unique. I tested everything and all the flag stockings do go into the holes and stay up. I am so extra cautious with these retired items.
The colors and the writing add to the charm of this North Pole Series item.
